A long, long time ago, in what feels like a distant galaxy (well 1977) Dez Skinn launched the Starburst Brand and its first edition was something of a smash hit and it remains so today.

It was, at the time and for quite a period after, the only commercially available magazine that looked in depth at the phenomenon that became the Stars Wars Trilogy (Let’s not mention the prequels) and certainly launched the career of several actors and film-makers.

This edition is nearly 40 years old and ties in well with the Starburst International Film Festival as one of its guests is Peter Beale – who I hear you cry?

Well Peter, was the man who basically helped Stars Wars to be made and provided technical filming advice to a then almost unknown George Lucas.

You will be able to hear more about the untold story about Star Wars and Peter during the Festival weekend as he will be discussing Stars Wars and his long career as a studio executive responsible for many high profile films - read his bio here...

Anyway, sometimes you really do get something for free and this is one of them.

Enjoy feeling the Starburst Force that has made the magazine the longest running fanzine in the world so successful.
