STARBURST Magazine has had a long history of supporting independent cinema. Being an independently owned magazine it is only natural that STARBURST would champion up and coming talent.

Every issue we feature the column Independents Day that uncovers talent after talent. So it is important that Indie Features and Shorts get centre stage at the STARBURST International Film Festival.

The STARBURST Independents Day Award is a great way for indie filmmakers to get maximum exposure. If you have a suitable genre related short no longer than 30 minutes in length or a feature over 60 minutes then you can enter simply via FilmFreeway.

The short listed entries will be shown at the festival which will be attended by Industry Professionals, and Movie Fans alike.

The screening of shorts will be taking place throughout the weekend giving festival goers the chance to see some of the very best genre shorts.

All Indie Shorts shown at the festival are then eligible to win the STARBURST Independents Day Award. Could your short be the winner? Only one way to find out.
